What is Encapsulated Carpet Cleaning?
Encapsulation is a cleaning process that is not a soap but rather a non-toxic liquid cleaner that dries into a crystal. The liquid is worked into the carpet to loosen the dirt from the fibers of the carpet and then mixes with the dirt just like it would with extraction cleaning. As the liquid quickly dries it captures the dirt in a crystal and then is extracted or vacuumed away. Encapsulation uses far less water, about 10% of wet extraction cleaning.
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning uses a very strong, non-toxic food grade solution that effectively removes stains and dirt that is safe for children, pets and plants when dry.
What is Dry Carpet cleaning?
A similar process that uses a non-toxic powder that when used with an activator produces a receiving polymer crystal that when worked into the carpet loosens the dirt and captures it within the polymer crystal. Once the dirt is in the crystal it cannot be released. It is quite impressive to witness this product in action. A very, very effective method but rather expensive.
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning uses this process in the high traffic areas and for stain treatment.
What is Dry Encapsulation Carpet cleaning?
A combination of both processes. Very labor intensive and provides results second to none.
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning uses a 3-step extraction process and will spend 25-40 minutes per room to get you the best results possible, but at a price less than my competition. Satisfaction guaranteed.
Is Encapsulation toxic or harmful to pets and children?
This was a common concern when encapsulation first came out. Many cleaners used a system like a Dry Cleaner used on your clothes that could be toxic even when dry. This is no longer the case for most Dry Carpet cleaners (or clothes cleaners for that matter). Majority of us that clean use a non-toxic cleaner that is safe for children and pets. That said, you need to ask! This older toxic chemical is less expensive and some Dry Cleaning Companies may still use toxic cleaners. Ask to see their MSDS Health Hazard ratings on the products they use.
This is the Health rating system
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning uses only non-toxic cleaning products and stain removers, safe for children, pets and plants with a max Health rating of 1-Slight; the same health rating as common household cleaners like 409 Multi-Surface cleaner™ and Lysol Disinfectant Spray™. If you use common household cleaners, you can use me.
What about allergies?
PCH Carpet Encapsulation cleaning is hypo-allergenic. You may experience dust on your shoes until you vacuum up the residue left from the crystals and dry powder.
Does the process remove odors?
Yes, pet odors, food odors are all treated and removed. Some pet odors will penetrate the padding of the carpet and may take multiple treatments but they can be removed.
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning includes stain and odor treatment with each service.
Be sure to check: Some Carpet Cleaning services that give low initial bids will charge you extra for stain and odor removal.
Is the process noisy?
No, This process is quiet enough to hear the phone ring and talk without raising your voice. I have cleaned carpets for offices during their work day and cleaned carpets while the kids were napping. I even cleaned carpets while a group had their weekly card game and they all could hear themselves over the machines I use and even commented on how quiet it was.
Is Encapsulation considered GREEN?
Yes and no, GREEN is any product listed as environmentally safe to use. Most people have incorrectly redefined GREEN as all-natural products and that can lead to disappointment either in results or finding out chemicals are used in the product. As an example, Simple Green™ is a GREEN environmentally safe product.
Yes, the products I use are non-toxic, safe for children and pets. No, they are not all natural. They include chemicals that evaporate to create the crystals that capture the dirt.
Is Encapsulation cleaning better for my carpets?
How long does Encapsulation take to dry?
Encapsulation system will be dry to the touch in 1-2 hours, some stain treated areas may take a little longer.
PCH Dry Carpet Cleaning recommends waiting 4 to 24 hours before vacuuming.
How Expensive is Dry Encapsulation cleaning?
Franchise Companies that offer Encapsulation cleaning average between $45-$65 per room with stain treatment. (HomeWyse.com) Compared to Franchise Company water based extraction cleaning at $30-$45 per room after using their coupon.
PCH Carpet Cleaning ranges from $35-$50 per room and I use both Dry and Encapsulation processes for maximum results. That rate competes with Amazon professional referral service!
How long will my carpet cleaning take?
Check around, you will rarely find a company that will use both Dry powder and encapsulation due to the cost. Even if they do, also ask how long they will spend in your home to clean; most will be proud to tell you they will be in and out in no time. Most Companies will only spend 5-10 minutes of actual cleaning per room, or about 1 hour in and out your door for a 4-room cleaning.
PCH Carpet Cleaning takes as much time as necessary to do the best job possible. I usually spend 25-40 minutes per room on my exclusive 3-step process, 2-3 hours in and out your door for a 4-room cleaning.
Do I have to wait all day for you to arrive?
No, I provide 1-1.5-hour appointment windows. Your life is busy as mine is. If we need to make a specific on-time appointment I can accommodate for a slight charge. Compare that as well. Have enough stuff to keep you busy as I will take 25-40 minutes per room!
Why choose PCH Carpet Cleaning?
